This week we held another awesome and very popular sound bath at My Pilates House with Jools. Massive THANK YOU to her for bringing calm and harmony to our gorgeous space ❤️🖤🤍.

So…. What is a sound bath??
A sound bath is a form of sound therapy or meditation where you are “bathed” in the vibrations of instruments like gongs, singing bowls, chimes, and drums. Instead of playing music with rhythm and melody, the sounds are sustained, layered, and immersive - designed to shift you into a deeply relaxed state.

Why do we do them?
🧘To reset the nervous system and kick in the parasympathetic NS.
🧘‍♀️To quiet the mind – the tones and frequencies act as a focus point, helping you drop out of overthinking and into presence.
🧘‍♂️For energetic release – many people feel that sound helps unblock “stuck” energy or emotions.
🧘To deepen meditation – if you find it hard to meditate in silence, sound can carry you inward.

So…. What is a sound bath??

🔥 Flowing 🔥

We loved this combo 🙌

Using the long box we started with plank knee tucks, then moved into supported lunges, flowing back down and into a pike, and back up to lunge 🔥. Each round added something new. Strong, smooth, and a little bit sweaty💪.

Such a fun way to get the blood pumping while building strength and mobility at the same time.

Her journey into the world of fitness began with a love for high-intensity interval training (HIIT), where she became enamoured with the impact it had.

Following a setback due to an operation, Ella turned to Pilates to help her rebuild her confidence and overall fitness, and soon after naturally fell in love with Dynamic Pilates with it's high intensity nature. Ella is a Dynamic Reformer Instructor, with STOTT Pilates training behind her too, which lends a unique blend of experience, expertise, and enthusiasm to her classes, guiding her clients towards building stamina through cardio/endurance, strength, and flexibility.”

In class, we broke it down — starting with feet on the floor, then up to the platform, and finally onto the bar. This way, everyone builds confidence, strength, and control as they work toward the full Snake at their own level.

** Evening LIGHT \ RECOVERY class **

From September, we’ve made a little tweak to our schedule!
�We’re adding a Light / Recovery class at 6 pm every Tuesday.

You asked for an evening beginners class, and we’ve adjusted the timetable just for you. Marion will be leading this session - she’s amazing at introducing newcomers to reformer Pilates, making adjustments for your needs, and ensuring you’re working at the right level. Her knowledge, care, and passion for helping others really shine through.

If you’ve been looking for an evening light recovery class, this is the one for you!

We have adjusted the name to include the word ‘recovery’ as it’s great post injury, if you are going through rehab and restarting exercise but it is not exclusive to this as we still welcome anyone looking for a more gentle class option!
